Why people actually come to Jalón
People don't come to Jalón for a resort — they come for the mountains, the vineyards, the coves you have to look for. Here's what we'd actually tell a friend to do, based on what we do ourselves.

Hiking
Surrounded by vineyards and dramatic mountain scenery, Jalón is a great gateway to many hiking routes on the Costa Blanca. From adventurous hikes, such as the famous ascent of the Peñón de Ifach in nearby Calpe or the spectacular Sierra de Bernia, to stunning coastal paths with cliff-top hikes overlooking turquoise coves and the Mediterranean horizon, Jalón area offers a lot for year-round hiking.

Cycling
Due its spectacular scenery, the Jalón Valley is one of the Costa Blanca’s top cycling destinations. The area offers everything from relaxed valley rides to challenging mountain climbs with stunning panoramic views. Thanks to smooth roads, varied terrain, and mild year-round weather, the area is popular not only with local cyclists but also with international riders and professional cycling teams, many of whom choose the region as a winter training base. Whether riding through vineyards or tackling nearby mountain passes, cycling here combines performance, scenery, and the true spirit of Mediterranean outdoor life.

Beach hopping
Perfectly located between mountains and sea, Jalón offers easy access to some of the Costa Blanca’s most beautiful beaches, making it an ideal base for relaxed beach hopping. Whether you’re looking for calm waters perfect for swimming, hidden rocky coves ideal for snorkelling, or long promenades lined with cafés and restaurants, the coastline reveals a variety of seaside experiences. You can enjoy the lively sandy shores of Jávea and Dénia or the crystal-clear coves and scenic bays around Moraira and Calpe. Combining peaceful inland living with effortless access to the Mediterranean, the Jalón area allows you to explore a different beach almost every day — enjoying sunshine, turquoise waters, and the relaxed coastal lifestyle that defines this region.

Local Markets
The Costa Blanca’s inland villages are home to a wonderful tradition of local markets, offering a lively glimpse into authentic Mediterranean life. There are bustling open-air markets filled with fresh produce, local wines, handmade goods, antiques, and artisan products throughout the week. The popular Saturday rastro in Jalon draws visitors from across the area with its mix of flea market treasures, local food stalls, and vibrant atmosphere, while the Mercat de la Terra in Jesús Pobre celebrates regional farmers and artisans with organic produce and traditional crafts.
What people say after they leave
We don't write these — our guests do. Here's what people have told us (and Airbnb) after staying at Casa Valeria.
100% Weiterempfehlung!!"
"Annett’s home is wonderful. Located in a quiet area, it features a spacious, sunny terrace and parking right next to the apartment. The property is very tidy and beautiful-perfectly suited for families or groups of friends. There is all what you need for short or long vacations. The beds are comfortable. We will definitely return when visiting this area again."
"Amazing place! The house has everything you need. The pool in the common area is also great! Also the view is amazing in the mountains. Would highly recommend to go here."
"Lovely place! Beautiful and spotless house :) We recommend it 100% Annett is a super great host, thanks a lot"
